New SpeedDri Air Drying System on Show for the First Time at Automechanika

11.08.08

With successful trials in the UK now complete, Automechanika is the official European launch for SpeedDri. The system directs a stream of air over the surface of the paint basecoat to speed up the evaporation process. The system significantly reduces drying times in some cases by up to 70% ultimately increasing overall throughput. SpeedDri has been designed to retrofit into any existing spraybooth and is fully adjustable to accommodate a range of drying jobs; a working demonstration model will be on the stand. As a result of recent sales opportunities, Meech International will also be using Automechanika to expand its distributor network throughout Europe.

The Meech Model 954 ionising air gun is used in many bodyshops to prepare panel surfaces before painting by removing dust. The blowgun requires a compressed air and electrical connection and does not have a radioactive source like many other guns on the market.

JetStream is installed on the paint lines of many of the major car manufacturers and first tier suppliers worldwide to remove surface dust and fibre contamination prior to the application of primer, colour and clear coats. JetStream combines Meech expertise in static control and air technology to deliver vastly improved first time pass rates by removing contamination and hence the need for online polish or offline repair.

Specialists from Meech will be on hand to discuss any queries people may have and provide advice for appropriate solutions.
